L.F. Eason III, the laboratory manager for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture state standards lab (which calibrates regulated measuring equipment, for things like gasoline) in Raleigh, and who has worked for the Department for his entire 29-year working life, was forced into early retirement for instructing his staff not to fly the U.S. or North Carolina flags at half-staff Monday in honor of Jesse Helms.
I cannot help thinking that Helms was just not worth it.
